Vinyl top dye |
Lead | |

Is there any good product on the market to redye a black vinyltop, preferably something that is not sprayed on ? I figure it's more likely that there's
something good to be found from an American company, as we didn't have too many factory vinyltops over here in Germany.

Although it is sprayed on, the best product I have seen and used is Sem Vinyl Dye, Landau Black #15013. Specifically for re-dying full and landau style
vinyl tops.

I clicked on the semproducts.com link, then on "SEM Projects" on the left where the green hotrod is. A new window opened. I clicked on "Next
image" and there was a 1966 Chrysler 300 convertible!

Thanks for the response. Sales representative for Germany is in the Netherlands, going to contact them next week.
By the way: What manufacturer come these rims on that Hot Rod from. Look great. http://semproducts.com/HomeGallery_PopUp.asp?ID=157&IMG=65

Now that you mention it Ross, I do remember that car. I think he was in Arizona and did a full nut & bolt resto on it. He replaced the original trim
inserts in the dash with real wood veneer, which looked awesome.

Great pics on their website. Even an old manufacturer from the 60s. The Munster coach used them as well as I found out.

I just used SEM Landau Black to recolour my convertible top. Don't know how it will stand up but it sure looks great. For 40 bucks it's worth a try
before springing for a new top.

I think his name was Dane. Seems like he sold the car a few years ago? I know I sold him a clock for it.
