Posts: 2473 (06/29/09 10:07 PM) On This Site Too Damn Much Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Well since I now officialy know that my 4 speed pedal set-up is for a manual brake car I now need to know if there is anything special needed to switch from power brakes to manual brakes. I think I need a different firewall plate? And I do not have the manual brake push rod, so I guess I'll need to find one of those too. Anything else I need and/or need to know to do this conversion. The conversion is in the future but I'd like to amass the parts so whenthe time comes it's a "whiz bang I'm done" deal. No questions, you'll have all the parts you need to go along with your pedal setup. It seems to me that 2 out of every 3 65 and 66 Furies I see on eBay are manual brakes! Anyhow, I'm not trying to start an arguement! I just figured it'd be fairly easy. Especially in Canada, where a lot of people didn't order options. Try Oliver Wreckers in Oliver BC and see what they have. Well that's a bit of a drive.......the time and cost in fuel alone makes piecing it together over time much more appealing....plus I can do this from my keyboard and phone. My Grandad ordered his 66 Windsor without PB. A friend of mine had two 65 Polaras, both /6 and manual steering and brakes. I don't need them for any of my cars. It shouldn't be a big job to pull the firewall plate and pedal, and the MC pushrod is removable from the back of the MC. 1966 still has a single-reservoir MC, but that shouldn't matter.
