Guys,
I'm thinking of what new wheels to put on this '68 Newport convertible I'm bringing back to life. Don't think I can go with the stock 14
inchers and battered caps with the broken centers (one even has a peice of black painted plywood wedged in the center!)
However I like the Magnum 500s and white letter tyres that are on the 300s (Gene!) and think it would also look well with a set of polished Torq Thrusts -
maybe even in 17 inches and 40 series tyres
. However I can't find
any Mopar Magnum 500s Plenty of Ford ones for M*stangs and the like. They were aftermarket wheels in their day after all!
I was thinking since Fords and Chryslers share the same bolt pattern/ PCD would a set of Magnum 500s intended for a Ford fit and if so where could I get a set
of Chrysler centre caps for them?
My buddy prefers the Outlaw IIs that I have on my '67 Town & Country but then it has shabby paint, blacked windows and Flowmaster and Holley stickers
on the rear bumper - it's that kind of car!
regards, Nick
